KVIB field trip reflection

During today's field trip to KVIB we repaired the front bike wheel however I repaired my teams back tire. I repaired my teams back tire, I also took the front tire and began unscrewing the nut on the front tire. Than my group told me that they will do the front tire and told me to repair the back tire. I than went on to repairing the back wheel while my group did the front wheel. I was able to finish repairing it I also cleaned it up well and replaced the tire by unbending it. I was also able to accomplish the task of pumping up the tires.

During the field trip I thought that my group wasn't working together. My group member was also calling me names such as stupid. That one group member also kept telling me that I was doing a bad job at repairing the bike when the helpers at the bike shop were complementing me because of how hard I was working. I think that one of my group members and I aren't getting along. I hope that she will stop calling me names. I also hope that we can get along better. I enjoyed repairing the bike and think that it was a very fun and learnable moment.

Reflection on tool safety

On Wednesday their have been many tools that were explained. Our piers explained some of the tools uses, how to assemble, as well as the dangers. I understood the functions of all of the tools except for the electric sander. I didn't understand its importance with metal. I thought that the first day was all about welding however there is a tool maid specifically for sanding down wood. Another reason why I don't think this is helpful with welding is because the paper is very brittle and it spins fast so it can easily straighten and materialize the wood however it would damage its self and the metal if you were to place metal on the machine. I thought this machine was very interesting because of its unique functions there are also many different functions of this particular machine.

I have worked with most of the tools last year except her the more powerful tools such as the wood sander and the metal cuter. I enjoyed using all these before. I am glad that we learned about theirs tools because I was unfamiliar with all of the tools before. One concern that I have about every tool was about the inventory. Their Wasn't enough inventory for each group to have 1. I also learned that the drill is a lot more common than any of the other tools that I learned about today as well as used.

The tool that looks like like the easiest and most fun to use as well as the safest in my opinion would be the drill. I have a lot of practice with drills. I used then to build the gardening table as well as the hydroponics system. The Drill was a very popularly used tool in 9th grade for MPX9 and I think that all my classmates would agree with me about the drill being the most standard and common tool.

Stem dr.hines glossary

There have been any words that were added to our glossary for these past few weeks and I understand all of them however there are a few words which I have trouble differentiating such as distance and location because those two words seem really similar. Even thought there are a few words which I don't understand I do understand all of the bicycling terms however I do have a little trouble remembering all the terms for c in the abc quick check. I always call it chain however I forget the rest of the words that are associated with c.

The two words I have difficulty differentiating is position and distance. I understand that position is the location or where the object is located and the distance is associated with how far the object travels. I sometimes plug the wrong one into the equations to find slope and the current position of the cars when we were doing the cars experiment.

All of the by bike terms are very easy for me to understand because in 8th grade for my science fair project I tried to figure out what types of wheels on a bike will decrease the resistance and allow me to travel downhill faster with ought pedaling so I've worked with these terms before.

The three challenges

During this past week there were many challenges that I faced however there were three concepts that I didn't fully understand however I did have a good idea of what it was and how to do the practice problems and how to build the specific structure. The three things in stem that I struggled on this week was fully understanding the velocity time graphs because I didn't know where the line for the graph went for when the person was standing still and I thought that it was supposed to stand still but go a little lower. The second thing in steam that I struggled on was finding the center of gravity. The last problem that I found fairly challenging was finding a way to insert a way to insert something to adjust the shelfs.

The first problem that I faced was finding a way to find out how to graph the graph when the person is standing still. I didn't understand the graph when it's going back to its point of origin and why it goes and becomes a negative slope. However I was able to understand because on the night before I reviewed and re did the worksheet and better understand the graphing system.

During the dominoes activity I thought that I found the center of gravity and I attempted to stack the dominoes on top of what I thought was the center of gravity however I didn't take into account that when the dominoes expanded outward that the center of gravity changes.

The last problem that I faced was finding a way to be able to make adjustable shelves for the library and I thought of pegs but I figured that it would be a little bit heavy with a lot of books on the shelfs and so I thought of making a wheel system with tabs that secure the shelf in space however I don't know how I would install this system into the bookshelf.
