Africa notes humanities October 28

Today we worked on figuring out the definition of many different terms that relates to government. Me and my partner Peter worked together on writing down what we think the definition of the words are then we each did every other definition and we talked about what it means. I think that we worked well together and we were able to finish the project quickly because of how diligently we worked, I also think that we worked well together because we didn't argue unlike some other groups did.

Cooking field trip humanities October 20

Recently we took a field trip to Kapiolani community collage to learn, or to better our skills at cooking. I liked being able to do this and learn all of the different ways were you can use such few ingredients to create such a delicious dish. I never knew that all you need is a bit of heat, olive oil, and a vegetable to make such a delicious dish. Another purpose of this field trip was to bond with our team a bit more and to work as a team because in a kitchen thee are lots of things being done lots of dishes getting cooked and if your not a good team then some of those dishes you cook will burn, and the end product won't be as good as it should be.

Today at Kapiolani I enjoyed many things while I was there I enjoyed making the food because I learned a lot of new recipes for example the rise made with chicken broth, and sautéed onions (this was my favorite part of the dish). I liked this dish and It gave me some more ideas of what's to put on our dish for the end of the year cook off.

Some things I need to work on before the next field trip is my reaction time because when there was a fire while I was pan searing the vegetables the pan caught on fire and I didn't react quick enough and the fire could of gotten worse and potentially hurt someone which would have been very bad.

My favorite part of the field trip wasn't cooking the food it was eating it. I really liked this field trip and I personally can't wait to go back and cook some more dishes. I hope next time we are allowed to pan sear more food.

Stem oct 18 who are we

We have recently taken a quiz during class to discover what type of people we are. There are four different types of classes that could have been chosen. The four classes were guardian who are the cornerstone of society (as said on kersly), they are born to serve and preserve our most important social institutions. Guardians are also said to have a natural talent in managing goods and services. Idealist who are interested in personal growth and are always attempting to gain self knowledge and self improvement and want to help others on those causalities as well. The third characteristic is artisan and an artisan is someone who accelerate in all types of arts. And the fourth characteristic is a rational. A rational is a person who solves many complex problems that deal with the world around us.

The temperament that I was chosen to be most like me was artisan. I don't think that I am a artisan because I don't accelerate in drawing or painting, however I am decent on the sports side so I guess I am sort of an similar to an artisan. In each of the categories there were 4 different classes and each category had 4 different sub categories (or 4 different classes). The 4 classes under my category were promoter, crafter, performer, and composer. The sub category that I received was promoter.

I think that this survey described me as a person pretty well however not a 100 percent. It said some facts that I thought were incorrect for example it said that I live in theatrical flourishes and I don't believe I do that. However there are some parts that I do agree upon for example it says I like new challenges and I also take ultimate risks to finish my objectives I agree with those insights.

I think that this activity was very interesting and I hope to do more activities similar to do this. I like this activity because it deals with statistics and predictions and I like activities that deal with this.

Collaboration stem October 1st

Welter today we began working on a plant rack. A plant rack is basically a table maid out of wood that is maid for holding plants. We are constructing this table for our end of the year project which is growing plants using aquaponices. After we grow our plant we will need to make a dish out of what we produce and chicken. Our plant rackets are a very important part of this proses because we will be growing the plants on top of the table and if your table isn't sturdy and collapses then you don't have anywhere to put your plants, and your system may not work.

My group maid our table as sturdy as possible we maid it with triangles at our legs because triangles are the strongest structural figure and we also connected our two legs at the side with apiece of wood to make sure the wood doesn't spread apart after we place all of our plants and to make sure that I'd doesn't collapse when our plants are on the table.

In my opinion I think that my group and I worked really well and productive because we finished building our plant rack and we all worked diligently and effectively. I think that that the reason behind this was because we split up the work load because we maid one group drill and we maid the second group screw. I think that this was a very effective strategy because we were able to finish making our table. However I think that there was an issue with one of the other groups because they kept borrowing our supplies and never giving it back. Even though that group kept borrowing those materials from us we managed to finish building our table

With everything considered I think that this was a fun assignment and luckily our group didn't run into to many problems building, I think that the main reason we didn't run into to many problems was because we had decent communication with one another, and we had a good scale model drawing to look at and double check our work.
