Both field tripes September 22 humanities compering field tripes
In the last two weeks we have gone on two different field trip one was to Marie's garden and the other field trip was to the Loi both field tripes were to two different farms that practiced sustainability in two different ways Marie's garden practiced sustainability a bit more futuristically than the loi
The Loi practiced sustainability by using all natural resources it uses a stream for water and it is all done by man and it can almost be run completely by itself except for planting the seeds and stepping on the soil so the ground would be fertile. The taro is grown there and they are a very large amount of taro on this island. I think that this way is very easy and it is very effective. Something that I think was interesting in this farm was its size I thought that the place were the Loi is planted would be larger.
Marie's garden was a more futuristic farm because it has many different methods of farming it has hydroponics which is using mineral nutrients solutions in water without using soil. Instead of soil they use other smiles they also have aquaponics is similar to hydroponics however it uses fish for nutrients and the last thing that they had was a fusion between both hydroponics and aquaponics they use small rectangular pots that fell sponges and they have plants there.
Bothe places were simulate because they'd both practice sustainability. However the way they practiced sustainability was very different because Marie's garden used hydroponics aquaponics and a hybrid between the two. the Loi used the ancient Hawaiians method of farming witch is a farm that takes water from the stream and reuses it consistently and feeders the plant.

For the past few days we have been doing a ancient Greek simulation were we were assigned a role that we had to act out. The role I had to act out was an Athenian General. The other roles were Athenian ruler, Melos General, and Melos ruler. I think that my role (Athenian General) was the funnest role there was.
I think that my group did really well because we communicated all of the points that we wanted to communicate. I think that my group tried our best to make the treaty in our favor and we had to compromise however the treaty was still in our favor because our main purpose was to make Melos join our legion and they did join our legion.
Our whole group did really well together because during every recess we worked productively and we maid a strategy that everyone agreed upon I think that this was the reason that we were prepared and they had to rush.Another reason that my group worked together was because we were all friendly towards each other and we didn't have any arguments about what we should do or what we should write.
I think that I was kind of a leader in my group because when it was recess I decides who was going to go next and I told them what they should try to emphasize when they were at the center table debating . I also wrote up the contract that the menos ruler and general signed at the end.
In my opinion I think that this was one of the funnest assignments that I have ever done in class and I hope we do more activities like this. I think that this activity was really fun because you were allowed to work together with a friend as well as strategize. This assignment in class was very similar to a board game because you had to wait until someone maid a mistake and then you have to jump on the mistake.

September 21 humanities Ancient Greek simulation

This video is the project that me and Dane have been working on in class. The purpose of this was to explain our vocabulary work. We chose to add pictures that relate to the vocabulary word.
August 30, Humanities Reflection
In the past few weeks we have been doing an infographic about the book fahrenheit 451. I have made a infographic that is a line Graf however instead of the line I drew a flame. An info graphic is basically a representation of information using pictures and data. This was my first time making an infographic and i enjoyed making it. This is one of the hardest assignment that I have done so far, and I hope I get the chance to do more projected like this and i hope I can get better at drawing infographic.
My summer reding info graphic displays the information using a line graph the flame is the line on the line graph and the y axis is the importameter. The graph is a flame because in the book fahrenheit 451 the book has a lot of fires in the book when they are burning the book. In my opinion I think that this graph is more aesthetically pleasing than the firs draft one example of how I improved the flame in the project by adding more color at the bottom such as blue.I also changed the way my graph was worded because my peers told me that I should shorten my captions because the way that my captions are now it distracted from the drawings because they are big and wordy.
I tried to make the fire on my graph as nice as possible because it is the main photos on my info graphic. i also tried to take up all the space on my info graphic however I tried not to make it to cluttered. However one thing that I think that I could have done better was make the title stand out more by changing the color of it, and relating it more to the them.
Overall I think that I did a good job on my project because I tried to work hard on it and it looks asthticley pleasing to me compared to some of my other projected that I have done. One mor thing is that this was my first time I did a project using neu draw the app and this was the first time I Did a visual drawing on on iPad.
